Mary Collins-Smith

Mary’s path to spiritual direction — “spiritual companionship” as she calls it, is central to the teaching of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. She actively engages in parish Catholic Community life. She has a profound respect for each individual’s personhood, culture, and uniqueness as a “child of God”. She listens with the “ear of the heart”.
Originally from Cork, Ireland, she has over 30 years of professional work experience in the United States working mostly in the medical environment, while juggling the demands of a family, including being a mother, wife, daughter and one of 5 siblings.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Orange in association with Loyola Marymount University (LMU). She is currently pursuing a MA in Theological Studies at LMU.
