Simple Journal Making: Sacred Expressions Series

We will be presenting a series of four creative workshops throughout the year exploring the linkage between the mind and creativity to enhance our self-awareness. Each workshop is designed to stand alone but will follow themes presented in each of the four.

This is third in a series of four workshops offered this year exploring the linkage between the mind and creativity to enhance our self-awareness. This workshop “Simple Journal Making” is an introduction to making a simple journal using a one-page folding technique to create folios. The folios will then be simply bound into the journal covers which the participants will create. The journals can then be used for creative note-taking, sketching or recording your daily thoughts.

No previous art experience is required. All materials will be provided, and participants are also encouraged to bring their own art materials if they wish.

Laurie Wallace is co-facilitator of a women’s prayer group, a graphic designer, ceramicist and has taught art to children and the elderly.
