Along the Way: Pilgrim Walk

Join us for our ninth annual Pilgrim Walk, a 4.8-mile journey through the streets and trails of Palos Verdes, leading to the sacred grounds of the retreat center.

Inspired by the famous pilgrimage “The Way” to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, this half-day walk is adapted to our own community and surroundings.

What to Expect:

• Walkers will receive a pilgrim blessing before setting out.
• Stop at reflection stations along the way and have your passport stamped.
• Experience a peaceful, meditative journey with fellow pilgrims.
• Open to all ages and faiths. All activities will be held outdoors.

Important Information:

• This walk is moderately difficult with narrow, rocky, and uneven trails.
• No dogs, strollers, skateboards, or bicycles are permitted for safety.
• Wear closed-toe walking shoes, a hat, and sunscreen—and bring a smile!

Schedule:

7:00 am Registration opens
7:30 am Pilgrim blessing, first groups depart
11:30 am Closing prayer
12:00 pm Picnic lunch with live music
