You’re Invited to our 19th Annual Nativity Exhibit: Entertaining Angels

Each year, we invite the community to view our international nativity exhibit.
This year, our focus turns towards the angels – the heralds of God’s presence who proclaimed the miracle of Christ’s birth.

This Advent season, we pause to reflect on the quiet yet profound gift of hospitality—a charism at the very heart of the Daughters of Mary and Joseph and the ministry of the Mary & Joseph Retreat Center. Hospitality is more than a warm welcome; it is an openness of heart that makes space for Christ in every encounter.

In past years, our Nativity displays have highlighted the Holy Family in the stable, reminding us of the blessings that flow from extending welcome to all who arrive at our doors. This year, our focus turns toward the angels—the heralds of God’s presence who proclaimed the miracle of Christ’s birth.

We invite you to join us as we exhibit the many faces of angels portrayed in Nativity scenes across cultures and centuries. These depictions remind us that angels are not only figures of beauty and wonder, but also bearers of messages—sometimes bold and unmistakable, other times subtle and quiet—guiding humanity back to the heart of God.
